OUTDOORNISTA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access, inclusion, independence, and connection for Veterans with disabilities, with a special focus on women Veterans and other underserved Veteran communities. Through adaptive recreation, outdoor experiences, education, community resources, and partnerships, we help create opportunities for Veterans to participate, explore, and thrive.
OUTDOORNISTA offers adaptive and inclusive recreational opportunities for Veterans, including rock climbing, ice climbing, whitewater rafting, winter and summer outdoor activities, wellness experiences, retreats, mentoring, and community-based programs. We also work to expand access for Veterans with visual impairments, mobility limitations, and other disabilities through adaptive services, education, and partnerships.
Yes. Adaptive recreation is an important part of our mission. We work to create inclusive opportunities that allow Veterans with disabilities to participate in outdoor and recreational activities with the support, adaptations, and resources they need. Our partnerships with organizations such as Paradox Sports help us expand access to adaptive climbing and other outdoor experiences.
